May 10 is Mothers Day. It is the day we thank Mom for all that she has done for us and put up with over the years, or celebrating her first of many Mothers Days.

Show Mom how much you appreciate her with a gift this Mothers day. Take her out to dinner, plant flowers for her or put a special photo album together.

Administrative - Secretary Week
April 22 is Administrative Aide Day. It was always known as Secretary Day. But in this politically correct society they changed the name. I don't know why they thought they had to change it. They also decided that flowers are too personal of a gift. I disagree with that, I think that bouquets of flowers make a beautiful gift.
Visit The Gift Basket Gallery to see the items that we have picked as gifts for Secretary Day. You can choose from Fruit Gift Baskets, Chocolate Gift Baskets (everyone loves chocolate),
Wine Gift Baskets and more. We also have bouquets of flowers, if you decide to be a maverick.
Everyone likes to be recognized for the work they do. Thank that person or persons that make your day at work productive and takes care of all the details for you. When someone is shown that they are appreciated they will usually be even more productive and efficient.
Have a great day!

Gift Baskets For Babies
Having a new baby is one of the most exciting times in a persons life. It can also be the most trying and exhausting. We celebrate the new birth by giving or sending gifts. Here a a few ideas to keep in mind when sending a baby gift.
There are very beautiful gift baskets for babies, that come in a variety of sizes and prices.
Newborn gifts are great but babies use newborn items for a very short time. Sometimes buying a gift that can be used or worn in the future is very practical. Clothes, toys, etc for older babies is very much appreciated. It saves the parents from having to invest in different sizes as the baby grows. Picture frames is also a nice gift.
Another idea is a gift for the parents. A romantic gift basket or wine gift basket would be a nice item for them to receive for an evening at home to relax with and reconnect in a quiet moment.
If you live close to the new parents, making them a complete dinner is a great idea. One less thing for Mom or Dad to have to do is always appreciated. Offering to watch the baby while they enjoy the dinner is even a bigger bonus.
If there is a sibling that is 2-4 years old you might want to recognize them. Sending them a gift is also a great idea. It can be very disruptive for a young child to suddenly have a new person thrust into their life that takes the spotlight and Mom and Dads attention away from them. A gift basket for children and a note to let them know they are not forgotten will ease the unsettling feelings they may be having. Again, if you live near the family, offering to spend a couple of hours with the sibling would be greatly appreciated.
Another gift idea is a spa gift basket for Mom to enjoy and pamper herself for a little while. Or a piece of jewelry to commemorate the occasion.
A gift for a new baby doesn't have to be expensive to be appreciated, most of us are very thankful when someone takes the time to acknowledge us.

Giving Sympathy Gifts
When someone loses a loved one it is an emotional and trying time. Dealing with funeral planning and the loss is overwhelming and devastating.
Most of the time we send a gift of flowers or donations to let someone know we are thinking of them. A family can be overwhelmed by flowers and plants to deal with. An alternative to these are gift baskets. A gift basket can come in many different ways. Here are a few ideas that could be given in the way of gift baskets for sympathy gifts.
A gift basket filled with comforting snacks that can be enjoyed over time is a good idea. It also is something that can be served when guests stop by without a lot of fuss. Some are designed with the specific sympathy theme, but one could be sent with the recipients tastes in mind. This could also save you money because there are more to choose from that are within your budget or on sale.
Coffee and tea gift baskets can be enjoyed during quiet moments.
Cookies and desert gift baskets are a good idea to send for the wake or again when guests stop by. Sweets are also sometimes good for emotional comfort.
Having others give the gift basket with you is a way you can give a larger or more extravagant gift. This is also a good way for businesses to express their sympathy.
A spa gift basket could be very calming and emotionally relaxing in the weeks to come when trying to cope with the loss of a loved one.
Sending a gift basket to the family that has suffered a loss doesn’t have to be delivered by overnight delivery. Sending one by ground shipping, which is the most economical way of shipping, usually takes 3-5 business days. At this time, the funeral usually has taken place and the family is starting the grieving process. Receiving a delivered gift basket at that time will bring a small measure of comfort that lets them know they are in your thoughts.
However you decide to acknowledge the loss that someone has suffered, know that it is greatly appreciated by those who are grieving.
